Default Hoya Lens.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...#ht_500wt_1156

(i used to use world photography, i have come back, after switching on my old laptop and seeing the site on my favourites.)

Can somebody please give me some background info on hoya, and what mount this lens is, I think its a k-mount, because the person who is listing it hasn't stated what mount it is.

Very mediocre. Some Googling will confirm this for you. Seller gives little information about the state of the item.

You pay for what you get; in this case very little. I'd stay clear, given that there are plenty of great lenses out there for Pentax K-mount. Stick to the stuff made by Pentax.

If you want to upgrade to a Takumar or SMC-Pentax you will find yourself paying again. I'd think you could get an SMC-Pentax wideangle for 60 quid. Then again it is the photographer that matters not the lens and if you really are broke then go for it!
