My first springtail
Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt the postings of our usual jumping spiders for this special capture!
My first springtail. I've shot springtail before but only when they came into the frame when i was shooting something else, like when shooting an ant. This one was 2mm long excl the antennae. Last frame shot at 1:1 http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4015/...014259b8_o.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4050/...434c0447_o.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4010/...c78c5c93_o.jpg |

Gosh they are small aren't they? Took me a moment to find the springtail in the 1:1 shot. Hard to make them stand out too with that pale yellow colour of theirs, a challenging subject for you!
