Default What Nikon to buy?

My Nikon d40 has given up the ghost so I am in the market for a new DSLR I an looking at either a Nikon d90 or a d300 I know the d90 is the later model but what is the best camera between the two? I am also probably looking to buy a used model does anyone know of a used Nikon dealer in the UK.

They are both great cameras, and both been updated, the d90 with the d7000 and the d300 with the d300s so you should be able to get alot of camera for a good price.

you need to read some reviews comparing the 2 cameras and decide which one suits you best.....no one can choose for you, that is a decision you need to make yourself based on your needs and budget.

MPB Photographic, Mifsuds are reputable used equipment dealers. I've bought a D90 body from Mifsuds and lenses from MPB and they are all superb condition.

For the used model you may look for the Nikon D800E. It's a pretty good one by Nikon although a little bit expensive. Amazon and eBay should be your first place to search for used cameras.

I've been using D800E for a while and it's a great selection I believe. However, everyone knows that the lens plays a big role. So if you are buying a new camera, you might like to consider both the camera and lens.

Hope this helps.

The D800E is a solid choice, they're around £1000-1400 second hand.
