Default Canon aftermarket battery grips - advice please

Anyone any experience of these, particularly for the Canon 7dii?

On Amazon there are grips by Mieke, Neewer, PowerUp, Eachshot all around the £50 mark which is 1/4 the price of the genuine Canon grip.

Thoughts?

I use a Milke grip on my 5DmkII and have used another third party grip on a 40D (no idea what the brand was). The grips that I have used looked, felt and worked just as the official ones have. I would not hesitate to buy a third party grip.

Clive I'm using the Pixel Vertax on my MK11. obviously the build is not as googd as Canons also it's not weather proof, but I'm more than happy with it. Not sure how long I've had it, but certainly for the bigger part of this year.

Thanks for that Peter & Harry. I've bought a Mieke one and some DSTE batteries so we'll see how they go

I have tried very many different third party batteries (Including LP-E6 that is the same for your 7D II) for many other Canon cameras and never have had a problem with any (Untoward problem). Only the very first batch of these batteries were non-decoded that is camera body would not recognize them for reporting charge left, but following ignoring the initial error message, they would work as expected. Later products (Probably all that is in market today) are decoded so will report the correct charge left etc and are 100% compatible to original ones.
All the batteries in my hand, have performed decent service for at least a year time, mostly a lot more. Some batteries died earlier than Canon, some still going on, but then when paying a tenth of price, that is not a concern.
Last thing I can recommend is to look at mAh. Usually the higher it is, the better and longer service time/charge, even the mAh is higher than the original Canon. They worth that extra few bucks you pay initially.
