POTW 12th Feb. 2017
Its officially some 10 minutes past the morning of Sunday February 2017, by Greenwich mean time and what does that mean? Off course, time for the POTW (Picture Of The Week). So what did we witnessed during last 7 days in our Gallery?
Though Valentine day is approaching quickly, despite the expectations, we didn't have much of Red in our Gallery however no shortage of Cool white Winter and all other images. There were many birds such as unusual flight formation by Sheri displayed by cormorants, unusual time of flight and pose of BIF (Bird in Flight) image of Drongo by Mailatsomnath and very nice Barn Owl images of Nigel with his new and wonderful photography tools, Olympus E-M1 Mk ll. There were great landscapes and sculpture views by ARFA , great sea image by Himself, nostalgic B&W street image from Peter Waites. There was some of the most gorgeous sunset images/green land, from across the glob by graham harcombe , fantastic artistic experience with light by Birdsnapper, reminding you of Michelangelo, usual daily "Studies" by Norm and the famous nomadic images and humanitarian images from Mo, as always. Kyte as always has some of the most interesting and ingenuitive post processings and masterful creation that is the honorable image of the week and would be the peak of the week, except a similar post processing got the title of POTW last week, and though this weeks work is even more successful and better IMHO, I had to pass, yet must quote the superior merit of that image: "It Don`t Mean a Thing" and please have look, if you haven't done that before at this LINK. The winner of this week is "Winter Scene" by Mo with one of his wonderful cool winter displays, showing not only a very beautiful accumulation of the snow, every where eye can see, but a rather very strange and pleasing light that has a mysterious tone and source. I guess this is another example of "Early bird is the Lucky bird" reminding all of us that: "If you want to have a winner image, Wake up early and rush out to take your images. Don't wait that the boring light of day prevail and wash all the magical moments, unless you have waited enough for sun to set! Well one thing for sure in photography, There is no rule to have a successful image, but there are very many well proven conditions that can help that. So lets see what the next week has to show and here is the POTW for this week:
