Rewritable dvds

I have several rewritable dvds. Once they were full I tried to overwrite them but my programm using Nemo said that there wasnt enough space. I have never rerecorded on dvds before (nor cds for that matter) Should I be able to just rewrite over the top or do I need to delete whats on the dvd first before I rewrite?

Hi Annette,
You will have to delete the files first.

Annette, I believe that your Nemo (or should that be Nero? (-; ) program should include a formatting facility (my Nero program does) that clears the dvd ready for re-use.
