Question Best gear for winet photography

Hi everybody,

What is the best gear I can use to get good Winterish photographs?

I live in Finland and I always wanted to get good images during winter where everything gets snowy white and the cities are colorful. However sometimes my smatphone doesn't get the captures right. So now I'm considering to buy a budget DSLR or Mirrorless camera.

Do you have any suggestions?
Best regards!

I can detail my experience with winter photography. I have a nikon d90 that I carry with me only in difficult situations. One winter night I wanted to photograph time lapse. So all night long the nikon d90 camera was out. Or formed on it ice and snow for about 8 hours. The nikon d90 camera still works in very good parameters. So if you are thinking of getting your nikon d90 I guarantee it will withstand the cold I don't know.

Thanks for your reply. I am actually consider a budget wise DSLR camera to start. So I will definitely take a look at this Nikon d90. Since I plan to spend long session during cold weather I am not expecting to get a cheap camera anyways.

All the best!
