Default SD Memory

Anyone any views on Dane-Elec memory cards?, have just purchased a 1GB 80x and a 1GB xs 133x and they seem very reasonably priced at £10.99 and £13.99 resp.

They claim to be one of the largest manufacturers?

I believe they make flash memory cards for various well known companies, so should be ok. Only real way to find out is to test them rigorously on unimportant subjects before using them seriously, at the prices quoted you can hardly go wrong!

I'd be happy to use them in single-shot mode. If you are using high speed burst mode, I'd do some extensive testing on trivial pictures of stuff in the garden (for example) before doing "important" shoots. I'd also make sure the card is formatted regularly - in the camera - on a regular basis.

Have you found the manufacturer's claims of speed (80x and 133x) match the real world performance?

As nirofo says, you can't really go wrong at that price.
