epson p-2000 vs portable dvd player
Hi all,
I am looking at a portable storage solution for showing my photos to family and friends. The epson p-2000 looks to be a very nice unit, albeit pricey. The other alternative is to buy a portable dvd player (8" screen) and write the photos to cd and play them as a slide show. I would appreciate any comments/views/recommendations from anyone who can help. Thanks Regards Bob |

A laptop might be better for a storage solution and display device, it can also have further uses such as image editing and with awireless laptop.... the Internet!

How about loading the images onto your cameras memory card and then connecting the camera to the telly. Never tried it but it works with Canon cameras and I would think it would work with other makes. It would save lots of money!

The Epson P2000 is a great piece of kit. I used to have a Phototainer and it was painfully slow, had a crap screen, terrible battery life etc etc It was awful.
The P2000 has none of these faults and although it's a bit pricey, it's earned its place in my bag. The one failing is that in very strong sunlight the screen struggles to display a clear picture. |

Hi I just took possesion of Nikon Coolwalker. Very impressive bit of kit. Main factor for purchase was it supports Raw. I did look at other makes but not all support Raw format. It also has a slide show feature, not that I would use it that often. Also at 30Gb I can use it as a back up as well.
Did look at the Epson 2000 but price won in the end. Nogbad |
