Best Landscape Lens
Does anyone have any idea what is the best lens for landscape? Over the years I have used 24, 28 and 35mm primes. and several zooms - What do you think is the best prime or zoom range? My old 17-35mm f2.8 Nikkor was my favourite but I now use it solely on my IR camera. Any Ideas???

I suspect that there is no best lens for landscapes as different situations will require different focal lengths. I do very little landscape (because I am useless at it) but when I do I tend to use longer focal lengths, my 70-200 is probably my most used landscape lens.

Just a personal thought Andy. I love the results of wide angle lenses for landscape. The effect of WA on clouds makes for some fantastic images. I'm assuming you're still a Nikonite, so try this snippet from Ken Rockwell for a bit of inpiration... http://www.kenrockwell.com/zeiss/slr/21mm-f28.htm
