If you are going to photograph bugs & plants, then near the top of your list is a decent macro lens and flashgun

Wolfie, thanks I have a brand new Nikon 60mm Macro. Thanks to all the posts by the guys on WPF and the available lenses I chose the Nikon in the end over the Tamron and the Sigma.

I think that Macro Photography is great and am still finding out how much the lens will do. It is great fun.

I've had that lens for years and it's still my favourite. Sharpness wise it beats anything else I have. Try it with fill flash.
