Thumbs up Sigma 18-250 f3.5-6.3 DC Macro-Recommended

Been using a kit lens, Pentax 18-135, with my K3 for some time, but needed a zoom with a bit more reach.
This Sigma lens has given me that, as well as an increase in sharpness. Well built, with a 5 year warranty from Sigma Australia, $409 AUD on line is very good value.

I have no hand on experience with this exact Sigma model but my over all experience with ultra long range, zoom lenses has never been very good, in terms of IQ (Image Quality). Though convenience of the range of focal length and reach, especially for a traveler is very appealing. The problem with these lenses is usually over the last 25% or the tele side of focal length, especially when lens wide open.
Like to hear you experience with this lens, if you have already got it.
