Rough sea at Heysham by Nick A

A lot of the news this week has been about the impending storm surge and subsequent flooding along bits of the UK coast. Even living in the Pennines, the rescue team I am part of was put on stand-by to assist with rescue efforts if required, so this image has a strong personal resonance for the week. Leaving that aside, the image catches the power of a big sea very well. One to watch from a safe distance!

Excellent choice and congrats to Nick A. A beautiful mono containing so much detail and impact.
