Anyone used a Seagull Right-angle viewfinder?
I just bought one on ebay...not sure of the model but the guy had it on a 350d, and since I have a 400d which is identical in the viewfinder department, I figured it would be fine.
I paid £5 for it which I think is reasonable...they are priced £50 and up when i searched t'interwebs... Anyone used one? Any good? I have issues sometimes when shooting macro, spiders and the sort...they're never easy to get and having no live view makes it harder. Any thoughts? |

I use one quite a bit and for me, it was money well spent. I do a bit of astrophotography and unless I have a computer hooked up to the camera, I have to lay in the grass to use live view so the right angle viewer is far more comfortable. It also means that if someone wants to look at what I'm photographing, I don't have to disassemble everything and refocus later.
I also find it useful for landscapes and anywhere I want to get the camera low to the ground and it works in sunlight, which Liveview doesn't. |
