Default Unable to save edited file (elements 10)

Recently downloaded a trial of Adobe Elements 10, got the hang of basic editing but for some reason I'm having trouble saving the results....when I go to view the edited results in my pictures folder all I get is an Adobe PSD file? which only redirects me to the picture opened in Elements display panel? I have succesfully saved three other pics with no problems so unsure exactly what I'm doing wrong!!

I've reworked a shot from my gallery and it looks amazing, much better results from anything I could get from Picassa or Photoscape I just wish I could keep it!!

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Matt

Hi Matt
I suspect that 'Save As...' is the function you need.
Jpg would probably be the output you'll want, the PSD file contains a lot more information & allows you to rework your changes, so it's useful to have.

Thanks for that, Mike

I did eventually discover what I was doing wrong, should have clicked on save as jpeg rather than the defaulted adobe psd tab from the drop down menu....was staring me in the face all the time but it was a late session after a long day!!

Thanks again!

Matt

I've made the same mistake myself. When you're used to a package where JPG is the default the standard save is often what you've wanted
