Default Flash Extender

Has anyone any experience of using a "Flash Extender" like the Better Beamer? Are they a worthwhile piece of kit?

Default Better Beamer

I am new here from the Bird Forum and just saw your post. I have a Better Beamer and think it is well worth the money. I get quite a bit extra range using either my Nikon SB 600 or 800. One warning is not to leave it in sunlight as the same frisen the multiplys the flash also works opposite with sunlight coming in will melt you flash. I have melted spots on my 600 but caught it before any damage. Great to use and easy to install and carry, keep one in my kit at all times.

In past I have achieved the effect by multiples of slave flash on the way and direction needed.
