Default Looking backwards...and forwards

As another year draws to a close, what was your best photographic experience during 2005 - not necessarily your technically best pictures or world shattering/once in a lifetime - what are you pleased to have, printed or on your PC, to remember 2005 photographically. And what would you, realistically, hope to get during 2006 - with a bit of luck.
Having only been trying to photograph birds for the last couple of years, I'm just pleased to see a bit of general improvement - looking at the BF galleries prevents any sense of complacency as I can see there's still room for a lot more improvement in my technique!
What probably pleased me most was, after an age of watching a swans nest on a backwater of the river, I was finally rewarded by first one, then two and lastly three little heads popping up to view the world. Hundred of pictures of these three followed as they began to venture out onto the river. The downside was the disappearance of one and then another of them [when they were quite well grown]. Happily the third one is still with us and maturing nicely.
For 2006? A REALLY CLOSE heron would be nice! For starters a good photo of the goldcrest I spotted in my garden yesterday.

I think it must be my "Baldy" Shot, an American Eagle, the photo was taken Mid-Summer at Banham Zoo.

For those that have not seen it, I will post it in my album.
